So I made some research and discover this model when I was in France last summer and I liked it so much I put it in my wish list. Cartridges are too expansive, you must buy HP brand otherwise the printers do not recognize them. Overall Review: I was a HP fan until I had too much problem with the inkjets.

Pros: Nice design, compact, VERY quiet, easy to set up, no A/C adapter required (less clutter), fast shipping from Newegg as usual.Ĭons: No USB cable included (but I recycled the one I already had from the former printer so no big deal), slightly confusing wireless setup but I did not have the time yet to look into the manual provided with the printer. I wish Tech support knew this before, but they do now for future customers.
My network has a Windows XP machine and an Windows 7 Machine. Once I switched my network to WPA I was able to print. After a week of working with tech support, a technician and my own research I found out the cause: My wireless network encryption was set to WPA2 but the printer works witih WPA only. Could not wake up printer via wireless connections. I had the printer set to go into power save mode after 5 minutes. Traced this to the printer going offline. Overall Review: Wifi would not work after about an hour. Did have a technician arrive deployed to my house which I thought was great.Ĭons: Wifi would not work despite multiple attempts and variances in set up. Tech support was pretty good although in the end I had to figured out the problem with wifi myself as I will discuss below. Pros: The unit is quiet, prints the first page in around 20 seconds, has decent print quality and so far toner use has been alright.
